Chapter History

Everything has a beginning . . .  either inspired by a dream, someone, something or a deep passion for change. The evolution of the Dale City Prince William County Chapter of TLOD is no different. This Chapter is an off-spring of the Alexandria City Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction, Incorporated, and the first Chapter to be chartered in Northern Virginia.

On February 9, 2008, the first of several interest group meetings was held and, on June 24, 2008, the ‘Official Intent’ form for chartering was signed. By the end of the application process, sixteen ladies made a commitment.

On September 13, 2008 these 16 Ladies made a commitment and were received as official members of TLOD during the Induction and Chartering Ceremonies, hosted by Lady Delores Chriss, Area II Director. Lady Chriss was assisted by Ladies from all over Area II along with our Chapter Organizer, Lady Pauline Hunter. The ceremonies officially marked the transition from an Interest Group to establishing the Dale City Prince William County Chapter of TLOD as a new Chapter in Area II at The Clubs at Quantico, Quantico, Virginia.
